PARTNERSHIP NEWS

As we all continue to hold on tight through this wild economic ride, we have one bit of good news to share with Partners. This week we welcomed Diana Trettin to the team at the Sustainability Division as a new Program Manager! Diana joins us from Partner CH2M HILL, and brings with her 20+ years of diverse environmental experience. We hope you will join us in welcoming her aboard in the coming weeks as she phases into management of our Partnership. She can be reached at diana.trettin@gadnr.org.

Basin Advisory Committee Member Opportunity
The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District is seeking applicants for its Basin Advisory Councils (BACs). BACs provide input in the development of the Metro Water District’s comprehensive plans and policies which guide water resources management in the 15-county metro Atlanta region. Six separate BACs represent the major river basins within the planning region: Chattahoochee, Coosa/Etowah, Flint, Lake Lanier, Ocmulgee and Oconee. BAC members supply broad level input during the planning process and represent the wide-variety of interests that are dependent on the region’s water resources.

To take advantage of this opportunity to sit at the table for water resource planning, submit a membership application by May 29.

Have you Visited ScrapMatchGA?
ScrapMatchGA.org is a great tool that we want to make sure all of our Partners are aware of - consider it a form of Craigslist for you to post your recyclable, unwanted, used, surplus, or reusable commodities. The site can also be used to search and post for materials wanted. Listing is free and can help save energy, conserve resources, minimize disposal costs, and save landfill space. More>
